Deng

Fueled by a lifelong passion for technology, Luofei has built a successful investing career by providing support and capital to impactful startups.
Luofei had an interest in technology from a very early age, having been raised by parents who were both computer scientists. He found his calling at the intersection of tech and finance.
As an Investor for the NTTVC team, Luofei spends his time looking at new investment opportunities and advising portfolio companies.
Prior to NTTVC, Luofei was previously an investor at Green D Ventures, a seed fund focused on the Dartmouth alumni community, and Tenaya Capital, an early-growth stage venture fund. He was involved in investments in HubSpot (HUBS), Platfora (Workday), Health Catalyst (HCAT), BigCommerce (BIGC), and Sumo Logic (SUMO). Luofei has also held operational roles at startups and in IT services. He began his career in investment banking at Revolution Partners (Raymond James), a boutique technology M&A advisor.
Luofei holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Dartmouth and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He lives in Boston with his wife, daughter, and obscure collection of vintage electronics.
“Having been on both sides, I know entrepreneurs are the real heroes. Their dedication deserves all the effort and support I can conjure to make a meaningful impact as an investor.”
