Joanne Lin

A mission-driven investor, Joanne helps founders see around corners in each phase of scaling.
Joanne’s life and career has had one central theme: leaving things better than she found them. As an investor and former entrepreneur, she has always been drawn to the intersection of technology and social impact.
At NTTVC, Joanne focuses on digital health and enterprise SaaS investing. She leverages pattern recognition from nearly a decade of investing, board, and operating experience to help founders recognize and capitalize on key inflection points of their business.
Joanne joins NTTVC most recently from Newark Venture Partners where she made early stage investments in healthcare and B2B technology companies, cultivating relationships between the portfolio and the firm’s strategic partners, including Prudential, RWJBarnabas Health and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ.
Before that, Joanne was an investor at University Ventures focused on transforming the higher education space. She also co-founded an innovation hub focused on democratizing digital manufacturing technology and skills. Her early career included over four years in investment banking at JPMorgan and a two-year commitment with TeachForAmerica.
“As an investor, it’s my job to help founders see their company’s long-term trajectory and understand when and how to shift focus to get to the next level.”
Joanne holds a Master’s Degree of Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Barnard College. As a daughter of immigrants, female investor, and woman of color, Joanne is an active supporter of diversity in tech and venture capital. As a former competitive Dragon Boater, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two young boys.
